So, then I'm starting this cool thread now. I appreciate that we have this option here to show our DIY's and such!
I'm a creative head. And therefore I have done quite some creative projects and want to do some more in the future. This is actually fitting the season we are in. I think they could look good and smell nice too. Also it would be possible to paint to them in another color. Here is an example of what I'm soon heading for:

@johanne: My mom did similar things like that when I was child too. She took whole oranges and stabbed in aniseed or cumin. It smelled so nice during christmas time in our house back then.
Another idea I came across a few weeks ago is one I want to do when there will be a rainy summer day or something alike. I want to create an actual folder with all my already collected inspirations of all kinds (from furnishing rooms a certain style, making decorations, interesting articles to read to places I want to see etc.). I need to buy some clear sleeves in different sizes and index cards to organize my collections in the folder. So whenever I'm searching for something, I just go to my book shelf, grab the folder, look for the right index card et voila.

To have things organized (and reorganized as time goes by) is always useful and convenient (I just can't recall any case when a mess would be preferable to order). I do something like that sometimes. Not as often as I should . It can be quite a bit of fun though.

So there's some work to do for a rainy day or two. You mean, you sometimes do a mess and find it fun? Another idea I want to do is something of which I'm not sure, if it does apply to "DIY" as such but I want to finally find a suiting option to show my digital portfolio, which also includes my newer works as my books etc. on which I'm currently working as well. I'm hoping to find an option for all that soon since I'm on a search for that for so long now. Social media platforms aren't the real thing for that unless you'd like them to own and freely use your posted images there without your given consent (Especially Facebook is the bad dude in here). So...that's a no a for me. But alternatives are so hard to find. Also, one which looks good and offers a good technical view and support if needed.

Haha, I put it in a somewhat confusing way, but you're actually right . Fun part is turning mess to order, but I think it casts some positive light on a mess as its "foundation". So yeah, I do find making a mess to be potentially fun...
Do you write books or illustrate books? I seem to have read in one of your Facebook's comments that you write something... There's a thread for writers next to yours in this section of the forum; but you could tell about it here if you wish .
About a decade ago, I started creating a free website of my own designed at Wix.com (a website builder) to place my would-be translation portfolio there. But then dropped the idea for the absence of portfolio . I remember it was pretty easy to create a simple home page though. No clue if they claim to own the users' content .

Interesting... I mean, a mess is a creative process same as turning a mess into order...But that it could also be fun is...funny to me, because I haven't seen it that way before. Maybe I should try...seems like you gave me some new input here. I'm doing both actually, as a studied graphic designer I'm gladly able to do both on my own and combine everything. Currently I'm working on 3 books from me and illustrating them, too. One of them with my own poems, drawings and photographs, the other will only be a photobook and the third book is an "agent-thriller with economic traits" portraying something like a female agent 007 with some autobiographical hints here and there (no, I'm not an agent). Haven't talked about these books until yet. I know that there is a thread for this here, thanks! But because of the rise of the new ookie spookie forum I'm not going to post something in that thread about my books. And possibly not here again, because I like to have only one forum as such to be active in. It would get too much all-over-the-place and confusing for me then. Cool, I'll look up Wix, maybe that works for me...not sure because I have never build homepages so far. In the meantime since my last post here and this probably last one now I actually found a plattform to create a digital portfolio but haven't registered there yet. Would you like to get the link for it? If so then let me know - I think in the next 2-3 days or so I'll get back here and see if you replied to me. So far, take care!

I carried the thread for writers over to the new Ookie Spookie: you can tell more about your novel and poems there if you like. Good luck with that! I'm afraid I won't be as active on forums as before for quite a while, but I'll try to read new messages there when I can, and it would be a pleasure to read yours . Thanks for offering the link, yes, please, post it here (or send as a private message either here or on Facebook if it suits you better). I'm not sure it's relevant for me at the moment, but then I may want to look at that platform when you are busy and I'll have to bother you... It would be convenient for me to bookmark it just now. Thanks in advance!
