I’m not really into movies and I didn’t watch it, but just read the plot summary. Scary . And it’s based on a horror novel! I think I’ll try to search for it (I like reading), thanks for the tip .

I like classical literature of all genres (it’s vast, and I only have read a small part to date), but I don’t disregard recent popular novels. Sometimes I’m attracted by a nice book cover or novel title, or an interesting passage of text, or a book is just being talked all around, so I feel it could be fun to read. Devoured four books of Meyer’s Twilight Saga a few years ago - not sure if I’m going to reread it, but the first reading was real fun . I’ve no strict preference for genre actually, but a good novel, in my view, must be inspired and thought-out (so that the plot wouldn’t seem absurd). There’s plenty of these; I only wish there were more time for reading .
Also, I read some linguistic and psychology books every now and then (I'm a linguist by training; as for psychology, it's just... necessary ). Have big plans to learn something about the world from books on various disciplines (general biology, physics, history, philosophy etc.), but hell, I can only take several books at a time, and most belong to fiction genre . Oh and I love to read something on Egyptian mythology. Well, we need a separate thread for this (why, Dev’s already created it; it’s, like, “for dark lit”, but there’s a lot of darkness to be found in virtually all sorts of books ).
